To get started, choose a protocol and enter the dashboard connection details in your tool. These answers cover the common setup questions so you can make your first connection with fewer steps.
Should I choose SOCKS5 or HTTP?
Both protocols are supported; follow your tool’s requirements. If the tool specifies SOCKS5 or HTTP, choose that option. If it accepts either, choose one and test a connection first. Use the corresponding host, port and authentication details from the dashboard.
Which details do I need to configure a proxy?
For username/password authentication, you need protocol, host, port, proxy username and proxy password. Enter each in its matching field and avoid extra spaces. If the resource uses another authentication method, follow its instructions rather than filling unused fields with your website account details.
Should the connection host be a domain or an IP?
Use the complete address supplied by the dashboard without converting it yourself. Enter a domain when a domain is shown, or an IP when an IP is shown. If exit IP and connection host are listed separately, connect using the host and check the exit IP when testing.
Can I use my website login password for proxy authentication?
No. Use the authentication details assigned to the proxy resource. Your website password signs you in to MantaProxy; the proxy password authenticates the connection. Copy the proxy username and password from the selected resource or export, rather than guessing or mixing credentials from another resource.
Where can I get or copy proxy details?
Click an exit IP in the proxy list to view and copy details from the drawer on the right. Copy fields or the complete string for one resource; use bulk export for multiple resources.
- Open Static proxy management and click the resource’s exit IP.
- Verify the resource in Proxy instance details, then use field copy icons or the Copy button beside the full string.
- Use the drawer’s QR code when supported by your client, then review the imported settings and verify the exit.
- For bulk work, open More bulk actions → Export proxy format and check scope, format, protocol and count.

Should I enter separate fields or import a full proxy string?
Both approaches work; use the format your tool requests. For separate host, port, username and password fields, enter each value separately. For a full connection string, choose the required export format. For file imports, first check which of TXT, CSV or JSON the tool accepts.
Does changing the export protocol modify the proxy resource?
No. Export settings generate connection content without changing the resource itself. After selecting SOCKS5 or HTTP, match the tool’s protocol to the export. Renaming a protocol in a file does not replace configuring the tool correctly.
Can I use proxies in profile browsers, on phones or in code?
Yes, if the tool supports SOCKS5 or HTTP and the resource’s authentication method. Set the proxy for the relevant browser profile, or use a compatible mobile client or networking library. If you cannot find the settings, give support the tool name, version and operating system.
Can the same proxy be used on multiple devices?
Yes. You can configure the same proxy on multiple compatible devices. They share one proxy exit rather than becoming separate IPs. Check your plan for concurrency capacity; assign different proxies when tasks need independent exits.
How can I check that my proxy setup is working?
Check the exit IP in the same configured tool, then open your target page. Confirm the proxy is enabled, compare the exit and region with the resource list, and test your actual workflow. A different browser without the proxy does not test this tool’s connection.
Is UDP supported?
UDP compatibility needs to be confirmed for the specific resource. SOCKS5 and HTTP are the confirmed access protocols, but a SOCKS5 label alone does not establish UDP support. For games, voice or other UDP-dependent work, tell us the tool and use case before buying so we can check the resource, port and client.
